Gladstone's Land

Primary 5 enjoyed a fantastic tour of Gladstone's Land and found out a lot about life in the Old Town of Edinburgh. We even dressed up!

Talent Show

I was astonished today at the range of talents on show in 5C. We held a talent show and were treated to magic shows, singing, puppet shows, violin playing, piano playing, speed chess, a Lego story, fencing and a stand up comedy act.  I was so impressed!

Hillforts

In class we have been learning about the Early People's of Edinburgh. In the 1980s evidence was found that there had been a Hillfort in the castle rock and later evidence was found of settlements on Arthur Seat. 

Yesterday we worked in groups, using loose play equipment, to build forts in good defensive positions.

Olympics for our Primary 2 buddies

On Friday we held a mini Olympics for our Primary 2 buddies.

Fossil Hunt

Our budding paeleontologists are trying to find fossil evidence of the ancient past. As well as Brachiopods and shark teeth, we also found the traces of ancient plants.
